For Irish Fiddle
154 handwritten
pages of tunes, to make a total of 148 tunes (some run into several
pages), all in the handwriting of the legendary fiddler, James
Morrison, also showing bowing directions and other notations in
this facsimile edition. There are shown six composition books
belonging to the late Joey Flynn and his sisters Kathleen Massar
and Marion Flynn Lynch. Veronica herself was also a student, but
her books were lost. These are nearly identical to those books
she had. Every week, as she would go to her fiddle lesson with
"the Professor" he would write in pencil, another tune
in her book. Here we have preserved these important historical
manuscripts for the enjoyment and education of Irish fiddlers
and other Irish musicians everywhere. As one person put it when
he first saw the book,
"It's
like James Morrison is alive again!"
and another who

you so much, it is a beautifully made book and feels like the
master is still talking through these pages."
Shipping
Rates have just risen here in the US as of 5/12/08. We were just
doing priority mail boxes as they were very safe and sturdy, but
here are all the options: For Priority Mail to Ireland & UK
$29.75 this does carry insurance. We can, however send Priority
Mail for $12.95 in a thin cardboard envelope the P.O.supplies,
but it will not be insured and we cannot replace if lost or damaged,
you may add for an extra $1.10, proof of mailing on our end, to
total $14.05. We do feel the $29.75 priority is safest however,
but unfortunately nearly the cost of the book itself. Generally
there are no problems with mail though, so you may use your best
judgement. Please specify in your order what shipping method you
prefer.
For US
mailing, priority flat rate has gone up to $9.80. We can fit up
to four books into one box however so if you have friends ordering
this is the way to go. You may get one book flat rate priority
for $4.95. Insurance is $1.75 extra. You may request media mail
which is $3.58, with insurance $5.28, and insurance is advised
as it is the only way we can replace a lost or damaged book, we
will send it in a padded envelope and it should be safe, especially
with insurance options. Sorry for all the new shipping confusion
with their ever changing rates. Please specify in your order what
shipping method you prefer.
To order
a copy, please send $30.00 and shipping fees, and please state
in your order exactly how you would like your book shipped and
add the appropriate fee. (For Ireland & UK, please contact
ahead to make arrangements, we will accept credit cards only for
overseas orders to save the fees on your end for bank conversions
into US dollars) make out the check to Agnes Gebert (Veronica's
