Unfortunately due to insurance issues and cadmiums being a heavy metal based pigment, we are no longer carrying them. Even though it has been sufficiently proven that they are safe in art materials such as paints, and only breathing the pigment powders can be a problem, which is my own personal risk here if any, we are making this concession to political correctness. Do not fear any leftover cadmium paints you have. They are not dangerous, though our insurance company fears someone will think they are and are worried someone may protest or worse. They are, by the way fully legal, and considered safe enough to sell in art stores as gouaches, oil and watercolors. If you wish, however, you may return any you have for an equal amount of the red or yellow ochre. For the moment, try the Red Ochre, it is a nice brick red, and the Yellow Ochre is very close to the Cadmium Yellow. Experiments are under way and we are confident we will be able to supply a good red in the near future that is considered non-toxic in the very near future.
